Document Camera Alternatives

A dedicated document camera is still a good choice for some rooms. But it is not the only way to show paper, books, objects, and student work on screen. The best setup depends on whether you need something permanent, portable, cheap, flexible, or easy for IT to approve.

Use the camera you already have

A laptop webcam can work for quick modelling if you can angle it down and add enough light. It is not elegant, but it can be good enough for a worksheet, a worked example, or a short demo.

A phone camera usually gives a better image and a more flexible angle.
