VisualizerApp turns any USB webcam, phone camera, or dedicated document camera into a browser-based visualizer. Freeze frames, annotate, compare live vs. frozen in split view, record short clips, and open free textbooks alongside your camera — camera processing stays on your device (no uploads). No accounts for core use, no install. Built to supplement, not replace, your teaching.

Why it exists

Most document camera software is tied to specific hardware brands. VisualizerApp was made by Mat (INLine-COMPUTERS) as a project using modern AI coding tools. It's designed to work with any USB camera and runs in the browser, so there's nothing to install, no accounts to create, and no camera data leaves your device, keeping core use private. Optional services (book search, wireless pairing and analytics) use selected third-party providers and are disclosed in the privacy policy.

It's designed for classrooms, presentations, and live demos. If you want a straightforward, powerful set of tools for supporting modelling, feedback, and lesson evidence, with a little fun added, VisualizerApp can help. It is web-based, so it works across multiple devices. No accounts are needed for the core document camera, which helps keep things simple and easier for IT teams.

How to use it

  1. Open VisualizerApp and allow camera access.
  2. Point a USB webcam or phone camera at your document, book, or demo.
  3. Use Freeze to capture a still, Annotate to draw on top, and Split to compare side by side.
  4. Save annotated images with C, or record short video clips.
  5. Open the Resource Pane to search and read free textbooks alongside your live camera.
  6. Use keyboard shortcuts for fast control during live presentations.

Wireless: in the Hardware menu, click Phone Camera, scan the QR code with your phone, and your phone’s rear camera streams to your computer screen.

Works offline

VisualizerApp can be installed as a Progressive Web App. The core app is cached locally, so camera features work even if your connection drops. Wireless phone mode, book search, and PDF export (first-time library load) still need a network connection.

VisualizerApp is free to use with no account required. Free features include: freeze frames (up to 8), pen/highlighter/text/line/arrow/rectangle/ellipse annotation, split view, trail pointer (3 uses/session), grid & math overlays (with ruler), spotlight and vignette, zoom/rotate/keystone/brightness/contrast, flip horizontal and vertical, 2-minute recording, single loop clip preset (20s), image capture, class timer, resource pane with free textbooks and PDF viewer, wireless phone camera, performance mode for older devices, and keyboard shortcuts.

Pro upgrade

An optional Pro upgrade adds advanced classroom tools: Presenter Mode with per-scene annotations, Student Work 4-up layout, frame labelling, deck reorder, resizable spotlight, board capture, unlimited trail pointer, camera delay, 16 freeze frames, PDF export with student labels (single + multi) and Save all as PNG, 5 min recording, one active loop clip with 30s, 1m, and 2m duration presets, loop clip PiP with corner presets, draggable timer panel + custom Set input, whiteboard/blackboard profiles, white screen mode, dyslexia-friendly colour tints, auto-freeze, presets A/B/C, remember settings, and no watermark on exports.

Pro starts with a one-off 24-hour browser preview, then an optional 7-day Pro Free Trial with no payment card. Paid access is available as an Annual Pass for £39 one-off excluding tax, paid once for 12 months with up to 6 device activations, or as a Monthly Subscription for £3.99/month excluding tax with up to 6 device activations.
